Landscape Maintenance Supervisor

About the Role

We are looking for a qualified/experienced Landscape Maintenance Supervisor with an enthusiastic and positive work ethic.  You will need a proven track record in delivering high quality landscape maintenance works through industry best practice, excellent knowledge and standards of OH&S. Prior experience overseeing mowing, council gardening/mowing contracts or developer maintenance would be highly regarded.

You will be managing multiple projects and providing support, training and mentoring to junior staff and Apprentices.  You will have a ’can do’ attitude with a strong commitment to contribute as a part of a team. 
This role is a full-time permanent position that is available for immediate start.

Experience and Skills

  • Experience in all aspects of commercial landscape maintenance.
  • Coordinate and supervise daily activities of landscape maintenance crews.
  • Plan, schedule, and allocate resources, equipment, and labour to meet contract requirements and productivity targets.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor service quality and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all work is carried out in line with WHS policies and procedures.
  • Act as the primary on‑site contact for clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent time management skills. This includes the ability to plan, prioritise and organise multiple projects and work requirements, including staff and resources.  
  • High level interpersonal and communication skills, including negotiation. You must have the ability to communicate and build relationships with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Support budget tracking and contribute to resource planning.

About You

  • Current Drivers Licence (MR or HR highly regarded) and White Card.
  • Certificate III or IV in Horticulture, Parks & Gardens, or equivalent experience (highly regarded).
  • Minimum 3–5 years in landscape maintenance, with supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of horticultural maintenance, equipment use, and safe work practices.
  • An eye for detail and a strong customer focus.
  • Good computer and literacy skills.
  • Reliable and punctual.
